This week has been full of a lot of experiences and I have been so busy.
So Let don’t waste a moment and get right into it!!!!
Tuesday was a pretty crazy day! We got a call about two weeks ago asking if we would be able to talk to the achievement day girls at a camp that the ward is putting on. And they wanted us to be able to talk to them about how they can be brave in sharing the gospel. I can honestly say that it was so hard to prepare it for them and also present it to 8-11 year old GIRLS who don’t have a lot of attention span what so ever. So it was way hard to keep them focused and get them interested but I think that we got our point across. The rest of the time after we stayed with them and help them make bows and arrows out of PVC pipe and string, made roses out of 2 tootsie rolls, and make necklaces. It was pretty awesome learning stuff like that! That night we found out transfer calls and I found out I was going to be transferred.Didn’t know where but I was going to be gone. I was expecting it but I was super sad that I was leaving the best area.
All day Wednesday I was packing and saying good bye to the great people here . The cool thing was I found out that a member from that ward is going to Cache Valley and going to interview for a company over there. Called new Dawn technology’s itsright by the Logan River Golf Course. So they were asking me what good areas there are to move too so I told them HYRUMhaha but that was awesome. I was saying good bye to a lot of members and they were so sad that I was leaving especially theRipleys, and Atoigues. That evening we got taken out to a really fancy and good pizza place called Girmaldi's just before we got there we were pulling in and I answered the phone now all day Iwas getting calls from the car coordinator from our mission wanted to talk to me, so I finally answered and it was the AP's Iwas like O MAN!!! They gave me the calling of being a District Leader still! And also go into an area, in a trio, and TRAINING!!!!!! My stomach sank and I was like well alright that sounds good! I had a good idea of where was going but a lot of emotions was going through me. We waited an hour for our pizza ate it and went on to the rest of my night saying bye to others.
NEW AREA
Alright you ready to hear where I went The areacalled............................. CYPRESS WARD in the CYPRESS STAKE. This is my second time being back in this stake/zone. I was in it for my first area. I am way excited to be here in this area. I have a wonderful Companion. His Name is Elder KoletonHardy from Brigham City and he goes home in 9 days!!!! We get along well because he was my ZL and he is still currently a ZL until he goes home, but we knew a lot of the same people since we went to rival high schools. He went to Box Elder and of course I went to Mountain Crest. He is an awesome missionary and I’m glad that I have an opportunity to serve with him. The other companion I have his name is Elder Rios from Springville Utah. He is a very interesting kid but I’m glad that he is out on his mission and serving the Lord.
The ward is awesome. Our Ward mission leader name was Bro Pennington and he is in a rock in roll band. He is way legit but he just got released as a ward mission leader this Sunday so we have a new ward mission leader with new missionaries’ haha. But this ward has a lot of potential. They had two baptisms in the last month or two, so my job is to continue keeping that up and get more baptisms. We should have one soon here within the next month but we will see how that goes. We are working with a lot of part member families. The area is big and we live right of the 290 which is a major freeway. This week has been awesome because it has been spent with a lot of rain coming down. So we went through a lot of puddles. I am in a full car area! Thank heavens haha so that is a blessing again! I am hoping that I stay in this area for the rest of my mission. We have a cool sister in our ward her name is Mama Waller she is literally our mother she loves us and takes care of us. I am again excited to work here I didn’t feel nervous going into this area, just nervous training again!
Missionary Moment
“Life is full of difficulties, some minor and others of a more serious nature. There seems to be an unending supply of challenges for one and all. Our problem is that we often expect instantaneous solutions to such challenges, forgetting that frequently the heavenly virtue of patience is required.”- Thomas Monson.
This quote I found and it totally explains how I feel right now. I know we all have some trials or weakness, but the solution to all that is patience. I know that if we want to become more Christlike we have to strive to develop all of these Christ like attributes. I love my savior and his gospel. I love serving as a full time missionary and bringing others to Christ. I love my family and the blessing that I receive from yall
I love yall so much
